Wanted - Spitfire 1500 (road worthy) with overdrive

Hi all, 

I’m a 20 year old looking for my first classic. I’m after a 1500 spitfire with overdrive ideally. I’d prefer it in British racing green but the colour doesn’t matter too much. 

It needs to be a roadworthy, solid car but doesn’t necessarily need to be a completed project. 

My budget is up to £6,000 

I’m in Lichfield (just north of Birmingham) and travel isn’t a problem.
