  1. Don't think that this will be much of a problem, speaking as someone from a local authority roads background. The vast majority of roads used in the Welsh section are trunk roads, under the control of the Welsh Government and as as such, will be unaffected by the 20mph proposal according to the Welsh Government website. In any case, these proposals will take quite some time to be put into force with all the obligatory Traffic Regulation Orders and the necessary signage by which time, the RBRR will have been and gone. The roads encompassed by this legislation will be those under the direct control of the Welsh Local Authorities or Councils. The 17th September may be when this starts to roll out, but believe me, it takes more than a few months just to implement this. It took the City of Edinburgh several years to just have the Traffic Regulation Orders in place and even longer to install all of the 20mph signs off the main routes in the city. I wouldn't worry about it. Jim.
  2. My Spitfire went into the garage right after the Border Raiders last August and hasn't been out since. The roads round here have changed colour to orangey red after the amount of salt spread on them. It's going to be -7°C round here tonight. Spitfire driving is a bit way off yet, probably the end of April at this rate. Jim.
  3. I'll be wearing the kilt this year and will wear it as a true Scotsman. By the way, it's the really, really short one that I know you like the best.😉 Jim.
  4. Bloody soft southerners! Put on a big jumper! Jim.
  5. Never had you down as a biscuit man, Mike. Jim
  6. I quite like this one. It has that je ne sais quoi, don't you think. Jim.
  7. I added chrome to the grille already. Any more is just bling and tacky. Jim.
  8. LED headlights (can now see where I'm going on the RBRR night sections) and some modest stripes. I'm with Alex on some racy stripe action. Tim loves 'em. Jim.
  9. Dolomite, Toledo, 1300, 1500FWD. Either that or scouring powder for those of a certain age. Jim.
  10. In case you're wondering why this thread seems a little disjointed, it's because I have deleted some of my posts. Not because I don't stand by what I said but out of respect for the two Tim's (Please, no religious analogies to be taken by those who would understand that last bit). I don't want to draw anyone else into a bunfight of the vanities. We're here to support the RBRR and nothing else. 'Nuff said. Jim.
  11. Hi Rob. Bit of an insult calling me a Glaswegian. Never lived in the city but come from a village to the north. Glad you found a nice bit of Glasgow. Personally, I rarely go into the city, preferring the quiet countryside, where I live. Enjoy your time in Glasgow. Jim.
  12. Don't anyone tell him we're all booked in at the other one. 😜😜😜 Bruce, we just don't like you! See you in October if not before. Jim.
  13. I'm sure I still owe you a few after the petrol you gave us at a closed petrol station outside Andover. Jim. PS Are you going to using a camera this year?
  14. So where's your "imaginary" TR6? 😜 Get your camera out! Jim.
  15. The art of stating the bleeding obvious is not dead. Thank you as a non member who has no intention of ever entering the RBRR for your input. Jim.
  16. We're going to party like it's 1999. Or at least we were, back in 1984, when Prince sang it. Jim.
  17. Bruce, The Premier Inn Stevenage Central at Six Hills Way. Jim. PS Could you shorten your previous post. About 100 lines of nothing makes you think the thread ends there when scrolling on a phone.
  18. I'll start it off with the Scotch Pie Hunters. I'm entered with my daughter, Katy. A trouble free run in 2021 after retiring at Stirling in 2018. Jim.
  19. We slipped from No. 19 to No. 21 but I've already noticed that there's two "Tracy Island" entries. A wee bit of fettling will sort it all out. Didn't get the "coveted" first place after the charity winning crews but since we've done it for the last 2 RBRR's, then time for someone else. I mean, how many Christmas sausage roll No. 1 hits can you have? Jim.
  20. Go in and put yourself as the Main Entrant. Fill in the rest of the form and go to Checkout. That will secure your entry. Then go back in to Manage Entry for your co-driver afterwards. Jim.
  21. 143 users online at 19:05. Not bad for a Friday night. Website didn't crash - well done Craig. Seamless process entering and paying and no hassles. Outstanding. Jim.
