Wishing all 10CR crews good luck and a safe trip!! Think it will be another good one, the route looks interesting and fresh, visiting some new areas. I'll be at the start in Kerkrade to cheer you up and (if time allows) also at Rolduc on sunday. Looking forward seeing all of you!

Yes, you probably get round on one set this time. 😀

Recommendation for workshop manual Spitfire MK3?
GTRoger replied to ernstmarkus's topic in Triumph Chat
Try to find the original Triumph workshop manual, it's the best. Search ebay, they show up so now and then.- 7 replies

Nice throttle bodies, they do look very well machined! Looking forward seeing your progress, it's a huge inspiration for the rebuild of my GT6, which (in my mind) will look very similar. If only I could find time to get started...

No Jim, we were waiting for a Scotsman to arrive and share our vlaai. He didn't show up so ended eating it all by ourselves -

Uploading all your great RBRR pics
GTRoger replied to Keith's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
1555 wrote:i have to agree with keith on this matter,,this is a club for triumph`s,so pictures should be posted on here and not f`book Yes, that's exactly what I'm after. Only for some odd reason it doesn't happen. And it will not happen if we just sit down and wait. I think the forum is loosing interest (in general) as people find other ways for sharing photos and experiences. This should not happen, the forum has always been a good source for Triumph enthousiasts and it should stay like that. so Facebookers, please share your photos on here as well. CT is the club that does, not FB ;) -
Uploading all your great RBRR pics
GTRoger replied to Keith's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
Ok that's fair enough, though for the time being nobody seems to be bothered using the photoalbum and therefore the non facebookers are missing out on all the great pics that have been made. As said before, it's a CT event and watching the photos, reading stories etc is part of the fun and should be available for all club members. Now the fun happens on Facebook! Think a photo section would solve the problem..... -

Maybe we need a whole new photo section for all events!?!? -

Keith, To my opinion the photoalbum is a bit outdated and complex to upload. A lot has changed in the digital world since the beginning of this forum. Think it's time to move forward! Why not open a phototopic where all people can link their photos, like Dirk did. Quite sure we see more photos from the event! Just a thought.... -
Mmmmm those porkpies were delicious indeed, thanks for the hint! We very much enjoyed RBRR this time, big thank you to all who made it happen!!

Like last year, it ain't working for me. Is it my foreign phonenumber giving issues?? Wonder if the other foreign crews get access to the diary.

Collected my now balanced propshaft from the workshop today and asked the mechanic which way round it should be fitted. He told me the splined end should be fitted at the highest mounting point which normally is the gearbox. So fitted it that way, although it was the other way round when I took it off.

Just checking the entrants list, bit surprised to see only 3 GT6's. Good news, there is one of each mark, Roy Lacey mk1, Tim Bancroft mk2 and myself in a mk3.

Who's got what to do for 2014?
GTRoger replied to AlanChatterton's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
Yes, I made a start working on the car today! Jacked it up and took the wheels off... Then I ran out of time. Still loads to do, fit new windscreen seal, refurbish seats (bits are on it's way from Parklane) balance propshaft, sort out various rattles and four wheel alignment. I skipped the CV joint conversion for now, good old rotoflexes should be fine 8) -
Maybe friday the week after....!!?? ;D

We're nearly as mad as you. Our car is a modern compared to yours! When are you crossing the pond? We take the 14:00 ferry from Duinkerke on thursday.
-
You're doing a nice job, looking forward seeing the car on RBRR!!
-
Just booked ferry and 2 nights @ Premier Inn. Now it's about time to get worried about the car!!
-
Fitted mine also in the boot, or actually it's located in the rear wing.
