  1. Got the TR4 up and running. Changed the electric fuelpump today which seems to have solved the bad running issues. All we now have to do is change the clutch and find a softop that actually fits!  :)
  2. No luck so far getting access to the diary for team 49. We've tried to log in on 2 different phones now. I guess it won't take long for a message to appear?
  3. Bill, you've got my number!? Fast windscreen supplies from Holland  8)
  4. Isn't it fuel leaking from the radiator?  :X Collecting the TR4 on saturday to find out what needs doing. Overdrive wiring needs to be sorted and the speedo isn't working, although I expect to find some more little issues! Mmm last minute spannering in true CT style! Anyway, my 2.5PI is still available as a back-up car so I'm not too worried
  5. Hope you have your German and Dutch shirt with you as well. Don't let us foreigners be dissapointed in Calais :P
  6. Found the error, got the phonenumber wrong...  :X Will give it another go tomorrow.
  7. Could be, only the first email has been sent 3 weeks ago and another one last week. Phoned today but the connection failed.  :-/
  8. I've been trying to contact Eric at the carburettor hospital by mail and phone, but no succes....  Does anyone knows if he is still in business?
  9. Well, as it happened I sold my 10CR car this weekend...  :X  Mixed feelings as the car was getting better and better and pretty much ready for the run. Unfortunately it has to go as I can't keep them all. Good news is that a friend has offered to borrow his TR4 for the event. The car has recently been rebuilt and a fresh MOT, only not been driven much since. So there's quite a challenge! So all we need now is lots of sunshine and a bit of luck.

    Alfa 156 seats

First seat I used the Alfa runners modified to suit the holes in the floor. Not too complicated although getting the holes aligned up is a bit of a pain. Space at the gearbox side is very limited so the seat can't move fully forward. It's just far enough to be comfortable. So carried on with the driver seat following the same procedure, though a bit more complicated because of the height adjustment. Gave up in the end as there isn't enough space for the seat to move forward because the height adjustment linkage is in the way. Started all over again, now using the Triumph runners, which is a lot less complicated. I took the seat apart to make work easy. Redrilled the holes in the aloy Alfa seat frame, made up some spacers and put it all together. Big plus is that the seat can be moved further to the front and fully to the rear. Also the driving position is slightly lower compared to the passenger seat that uses the Alfa runner.
  11. Haha... Good man! Hope they produced some new stock in the meantime.
  12. Team Beans and and team PI in trouble are booked at the B&B being part of this: http://www.sintbernardus.be/?l=en If we don't show up in Calais you know why....  :P

    Alfa 156 seats

Got seat no1 in. Took me quite a while because I couldn't get the holes in the floor align with the seat runners. Went for a different approach which turned out to be a lot easier. Will makes some photos when doing seat no2. Lee, can't see why the seats don't go as far back as the original ones? Mine go fully back. Can't move fully forwards because the gearboxtunnel is in the way. Still far enough to sit comfortable though.

    Alfa 156 seats

Already sorted.  :) Local nut and bolt shop supplied some nice allen bolts. Should do the job.

    Alfa 156 seats

Well, finally collected my new seats yesterday. It's amazing how easy they can be fitted to a Saloon. Must be the good old Italian design.... All I need are new bolts as the original ones are too wide for the rail.  Anyone knows what size they are? Thanks!

    Alfa 156 seats

Found another set in Germany for €100,- Black leather and seat heating! Hope this comes including the runners as it's in the price range that I have in mind. Not paying €300,- for some seats.

    Alfa 156 seats

It's the ones with armrest. So basicly I need the runners to make it all happen!

    Alfa 156 seats

Finally found a set of Alfa seats to fit my mk1 for reasonable money.  Only one seat comes without seat runner. Do I need it or do I use the original Triumph runners?
  19. I've been told there are fake dual gauges been sold on ebay. They look very similar to the original ones only the fixing position of the needles is different. Can't remember exactly though...
  20. I'm going to fit some Alfa seats as well, don't think the original seats will be very comfortable on longer journeys.
  21. One vote for agricultural red (whistle). Don't like the black wheels either...
  22. I've got these Hella FF fitted. They are detachable as I don't like the looks of it. They give decent light on our nightrallies although must admit  they are hardly used. Some more from other cars:
  23. Think i found another add, now disappeared from fleabay. They were second hand wheels. You have seen these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Revolution-Wheels-14x6-Lotus-Elan-Europa-7-Caterham-Triumph-Spitfire-TR7-NEW-/251229120221?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a7e6c26dd&vxp=mtr They have the correct PCD. Shame it's 2 wheels only...
