  1. Mark Field has a glass fibre T6 Lemans replica body for sale on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285457277584?hash=item4276946290:g:dtcAAOSwYqRk8xNu
  2. Please let us know where you are. Photos do make it much easier for people to respond.
  3. Burlen also do reconditioning. I had a pair of Strombergs done for my Vitesse. Excellent refurbished bodies properly cleaned. They bushed the spindles to stop an air leak.
  4. I got my card whilst learning welding at college. I find I can get most things cheaper by going to a local motor factors so the Halfords trade card gets little use.
  5. Our cars are prone to leaking. Some say if you can see a leak that is a good sign because it means that there is some oil to leak out. Seriously you might be best putting a bit of cardboard down to catch the drips or an old tray. Cat litter will soak up spills. Can you see a pressure relief on top of the diff? Wiggle the pin to ensure the hole is not blocked. A blocked relief can pressurise the diff and result in oil forcing itself pass the seals on the shafts.
  6. I thought it was just a computer generated render at this stage. However apparently is has been built on BMW i3 platform by Makkina design who are based in London UK.
  7. I am intending to build my own workshop bench. I have some 4inch square fence posts for the legs. I saved some kitchen counter top when a neighbour remodelled their kitchen. Also available is some large planks previously used to shutter the workshop base 220*40 so very strong. What would you recommend? Any design tips? Needs to be strong enough to support a large pillar drill and large components such as gearbox or diffs, maybe even a Triumph 6 cylinder engine.
  8. Fitchetts have much more stuff than on their adverts or website. Canleys have a huge collection of used parts not just new stuff.
  9. Ian this is a Triumph Car club forum. Hello and welcome. We do have some motorbike owners amongst us so somebody maybe able to help
  10. This car has its own Facebook presence
  11. If you are aiming for a concourse car you will spend much more time and money than you would building a useable fun car. I recommend getting it going and doing a rolling restoration. Enjoy it in the summer fix improve it out of season. Concentrate on one area at a time. It is all too easy to attempt to tackle many jobs in parallel. However unless you are disciplined you will find the project taking up more and more space and the car being unusable for long periods. Been there and still am with one of my cars! Get yourself along to a club meeting. Talking to fellow sufferers will be helpful.
  12. Karl Dandridge had a coupe roof deck and screen for sale on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/695882524853325/ Went to copy an image and now see he has sold it.
  13. So who is going to this big show at Silverstone? I have just managed to pitch my tent. The ground is rock hard. If you are camping bring your strongest pegs and a hammer.
  14. There are many slightly different versions of the Stromberg 150 carb. They generally start out simple and changed over time. The choke/cold start mechanism evolved. Unless originality matters to you any carb with the same size throat can be made to do the job. It is the needle profile that needs to match the state of tune. I wouldn't rely on any tags or model codes you can see. I have some guides about Stromberg and SU carbs on my website http://vitessesteve.co.uk/Other-manuals
  15. Where are you? There are several traders based in the UK who sell used spares. Such as https://www.winsinternational.co.uk/ Also traders like Canley Classic who may have reconditioned wheels. https://canleyclassics.com/?catalogue=triumph-spitfire-mkiii&diagram=triumph-spitfire-mkiii-propellor-shaft-and-road-wheels Which car do you want the wheels for? What size are the wheels you have? 13 inch with 3.5 inch rim?
  16. A cars value depends on its condition and location amongst other things. Have seen anything similar on eBay?
  17. I agree with Howard. Taking the steering wheel off is not difficult and makes access much easier. I also removed the trim on the transmission tunnel. I wouldn't try to repair the rusty pipes. You only want to the job once do it properly. Get new pipes you problem maybe that the foam panel throu which the pipes pass will have perished.
  18. Is your car a saloon or convertible? The convertible should have an extra catch fitted. The extra catch is sometimes missing especially from cars that were converted from saloons. The extra catch as fitted to body. The normal door catch.

  20. My Jazz is very reliable not exciting in any way a tool. Got mine last year having been inspired by my brother who has run his for 120000 miles on the original clutch and exhaust.
  21. Del Lines cars were built by a dealer not the factory.
  22. Clive that's just what my neighbour thought when I trying to find some tyre levers for him to borrow. I wonder why they were sold as a set of 3.
