  1. http://triumphspitfire.com/enginenumbers.html So FD looks to be Spitfire III engine
  2. I was recently talking to a chap who is based in Johannesburg South Africa. TSSC of South Africa are planning an event to mark the centenary of the first Triumph car. I have not read of any celebration being planned for next year. I wonder if Club Triumph are working on anything?
  3. Have a word with EBC they do lots of brake kits. I assume you are running bigger wheels as you may find fitting bigger brakes a tight fit or impossible without them.
  4. until
At the Woodman's our pre COVID venue
  5. I have several of Service Training Notes on my website. http://vitessesteve.co.uk/ServiceTrainingNotes I also have video versions of some of film strips http://vitessesteve.co.uk/ServiceTrainingFilmStrips
  6. https://app.box.com/s/rjswemeeq7ocz4uszbn1lnqb2podkuee Take your pick
  7. I am also involved with the Historic Marathon Rally Group who will have some interesting old rally cars attending. Some of the cars arrive by trailer and we asked if these drivers could stop over night. We have now been told that the camping facilities will be exclusive to the 2 Triumph clubs because they are paying.
  8. I was thinking of camping at this event. However I have heard that camping will not be available Saturday night for exhibiters at the BL show on Sunday. Can somebody confirm we definitely have outsite camping for both Friday and Saturday nights?
  9. The old stock from S & S has been bought by Jonathan Fallowell might worth contacting him.
  10. I had my slab power floated too. It is very smooth. However it will still need sealing? During the construction of the workshop.a few dents has been made. So the epoxy will smooth those out.
  11. Yeap you are right. I was mis remembering the metric version.
  12. Thanks for your input. The slab is a nominal 6 inches deep so I will have to leave the floor to dry for now. 1 inch a month to dry or 1mm a week apparently.
  13. I am nearly finished with building a garage workshop. The concrete slab was machined to be flat. I want to seal the floor. What paint would you use? Alternatively I could cover the floor but specialist garage vinyl or tiles seem expensive. What do you think?
  14. I am based near Newport on the Isle of Wight. You would be welcome to use my Vice but it is firmly attached to the bench so you have to bring the job here.
  15. Just ask yourself how much would suspension parts be for your modern car. Still think £52 is expensive? I had to replace a part of my Citroen exhaust recently. Over £100 for what looked like a piece of almost straight steel tube.
  16. +1 for burning the rubber. Do it outside the smoke is vile. Then you could hammer an impact socket to knock out the remains.
  17. I used money I inherited after my granny died to pay for restoration work on my Vitesse. I thank her every time I use my Vitesse.
  18. I have parked at a nearby station for free and got the train in the past. Mind you the streets near the local stations fill up quickly so you may have a walk to find a place. I see NEC parking is £16 on the day or £12 is booked online.
  19. It only does 30mph flat out so I read so would need a good head start on the rest of the field.
  20. This little vehicle uses two herald diffs. + a mini engine to make a 4 wheel drive.
  21. They are displaying this on their Facebook page.
  22. Rimmer's sent this email out on the 15th
  23. I have a booklet about Stromberg carbs.that includes needle charts that you may find useful. Available to download from my website. http://vitessesteve.co.uk/Other-manuals https://app.box.com/s/qnc1py2hx8hkro9f8o8a
