  1. I had to open the Whatsapp app on my laptop and then managed to download them from there.
  2. I’d also like to add my thanks to the organisers for another great run. After a front wheel bearing change in Skegness car park on Saturday morning, our car was running the best it has ever done. The route was great, although my wife complained of feeling car sick after a spirited drive around the lakes! I’ve added a photo from the finish this morning and looking forward to RBRR and next year’s C2C.
  3. Team Geriatric Scouts are entering in my 2.5 Stag for the second time. We finished last time with an extremely poorly and Smokey engine. That’s now been rebuilt, along with another load of work. Hopefully I’ll get round to re-foaming the drivers seat before October.
  4. Hi, I have just replaced my Herald 1200 grille with a 12/50 as I prefer the look of it. I have fitted the top brackets to the side panels but the bottom of the grille just sits on top of the valance. Can anyone please tell me if the bottom of the grille should be attached in any way? It seems a bit insecure and I am struggling to find any photos on the web. Thanks, Brian
  5. Ah, thanks Craig. That’s the one I need 👍
  6. Thanks Craig. That’s the page I tried. I can edit my own details, but can’t see anywhere to add my co-driver.
  7. Hi, I’m trying to add my other team member’s details using “manage my purchase”, but can’t see an option to do this. Can you please tell me how to do this? Thanks, Brian
  8. As a first time entrant, can I first say a massive thanks to the organising team. I was impressed with how professionally the whole event was organised, and really enjoyed the whole experience. I spent months preparing the car, and therefore had a good understanding of it prior to the event. However, we still suffered with a smoky engine and a misfire caused by fouled plugs halfway through the run. Luckily one of our team is a retired mechanic so we managed to complete the run with regular plug changes and top ups of oil. Everyone we spoke to were really friendly, although due to fatigue we probably didn’t make conversation as much as we normally would - three large blokes in a Stag means that it’s not easy to get some sleep! We have no complaints about any of the controls, and thanks to all the volunteers that manned them. We made sure we stuck to the recommended route as much as possible, and I’m glad we did. There were some great driving roads, particularly from John O’Groats to Falls of Shin, and the Welsh section. The only criticism I do have, which is a small one, is with RallyAppLive. A couple of times it didn’t record us entering a control as we were reading one of the WhatsApp messages at the time. Hopefully the app will be updated to share the GPS with other apps in future updates. I didn’t realise that family members could track your progress on the app, so that would have been good to know beforehand. These are only minor gripes though. Overall the whole weekend was excellent and, once they have forgotten about the discomfort and lack of sleep, I hope to convince my co-drivers to do it again next time. Brian
  9. Thanks very much for confirming. I have retapped the thread and bought the correct parts from Canley Classics. All fitted and working now.
  10. Hi, can anybody tell me the part number for the fuel inlet union to fit a Solex B30pse1 carb on a late Herald 1200? The usual parts diagrams don’t appear to show it, but it is in position 74 in the attached diagram from the workshop manual. I thought it looked the same as the fuel pump connections, but tried one and it is too tight. Thanks in advance, Brian
