  1. hello ! Do a Spitfire 1500 steering wheel center will fit an early 16" Stag steering wheel ? And would it fit a 1300TC steering colum ?
  2. It seems to me that you have a very weak mixture  ... have you check the carb richness ?
  3. 1300 TC heads supposed to be the best ever !!!  8) 8) 8)
  4. Hello ! I'm about to restaure my Herald 1200, and wanted to have a more relaxed cruising. So instead of the OVD route is the 3.63 diff would do part of the trick ? I've looked at the mintylanmb calculator and it seems to be a good solution. Will it be a straight bolt on job ? How about importing the hole rear suspension + diff from the 1500, even if it will enlarge the track ? As always thanks for your imputs !
  5. Anyone has tried different needles on the HS2? With my ram pipes and tubular exhaust manifold, I do get a loose of power at half throttle ... the take off is perfect. So i imagine that a richer needle in the 4-5-6 area would be better, but don't know how to choose them :  does 0.01 mm makes a lot of difference ? Thanks G
  6. yes £45 for the complete exhaust is a bargain !
  7. yes that is what I have !  :) he also got some rear pipes without the resonator.

  9. Edit : can't find any little square front light on Capri ... wich model is that ?
  10. Thx ! Capri should be the easiest here, I think .
  11. No I havn't ask on TDC, it was just a question like this in the case I'm tempted (!) by the Toledo and by so adding another car and a great risk to be killed by me wife ... I can almost ear the Winchester's "clik clak" behind me ...
  12. omitted from your "Triumph Car Comparer " and the "Speed & RPM Calculator" http://www.mintylamb.co.uk/?page=triumphcompare.php
  13. But you've ommit the 1300 FWDs   :'( :'(
  14. Hi James, congrat for such a helpfull site you've made ! (clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)
  15. Me again ... :) Was playing with the Minty web site and was wondering how it works : the "y" measures the thickness of the needle -----> the higher the graph the richer the needle, right ? As my car got a tubular manifold and will get soon a sportish exhaust and rampipe thing a richer needle would be great, no ? Anyone has tried different needles on the HS2? Cheers G
  16. Hellow, Is there other cars that shares the front lights square design ? Asking as if (I say "if") I buy a Toledo and wanted to drive it here in France, I will need to convert the lights ... Thanks G
  17. Hello just copying a post I made in the 1300 thread , maybe a Spitty 1300 with BO needle can help ! The other thing is that I can't get a good carb setting : when pushing the pin under the HS2s the car stall so must be too rich BUT the Colortune color is light blue so too weak ...   And when I weaken the mixture the idle goes down immediatly. Must be an air leak somewhere no ? what are the culprits ? Servo works very fine ... dizzy vacum can't affect both carbs (1300 TC) ... breather thing maybe ? The sparks are fine color, little on the chocolate side. I wouldn't mine really of all this, but I feel the car is not at full potential : I'm not getting a good bite at starting. Also when starting from cold with the choke, the car almost stall everytime it gets on charge ... not at all like this with my Herald 1200 (Solex carb) ... Not used to the HS2 behaviour thou.
  18. Is it the same on the 1300 TC ? sorry for highjacking ... ;)
