  1. with regard to your halfshafts ..there is only one of the faces that allows a bolt to be offered up to the assembly so you have to move it 4 times through 90 degrees to get the bolts in

  3. i have a high torque starter for my spitfire engine. its quite a modded engine (havent tried to start it yet) but i was curious if anyone has fitted one and should i be using the standard starters  spacer with it or not?

  5. novatech in slough are old school rolling road tuners...they do loads of cars in the goodwood revival. i had my Volvo Amazon tuned there. on hs6 su carbs. they did a good job.
  6. Does anyone have a working J type overdrive gearbox they dont need ? I gather its the type with the solenoid on the passanger side? Have a friend building a bond equipe who wants to run one in it . Fair price paid if you can help please let me know.

  9. i have twice bought wiper blades from these guys. very good quality (unfortunately not the chrome type) but at £4.50 for 2 including postage you cant go wrong. Maybe the water pump is a mistake.

    I use Wins a lot, parts have always been fine and theyre very helpful. That said for Diffs Ive always used Mike Papworth.
  12. Hi Andy spitfire hose id must be  2 inches . the external diameter of the metal pipe it fits over is  2 inches  cos ive just measured one with a micrometer. hope this helps Alan (you gave me a fuel tank about a year ago)
  13. loosen the nuts off first then raise it up about an inch or so .take the old ones off ,refit the new ones . I always drive the car on to a couple of bits of wood like scaffold board first to give a bit more underengine clearance for a trolley jack with a bit of wood to spread the load..job done.
