harvestmouse
Hello againThe threads on a couple of wheel hub bolts (the things on which the wheelnuts go) are a bit worn.Is there an easy way to remove them & replace, without taking the hub/disc assembly apart? Thanks in advanceps it's the bolts on one of the front wheel hubs
Clive
Hit em with a big hammer (watch rear ones as they can then hit imprtant bits, so drum off first) The new ones should slot in, tighten home by putting a wheel on and torquing up.Trickier if longer studs or larger diameter though. Apparently. Will let people know when I have done the deed.
harvestmouse
yay @ hitting things with hammer rather than spending hours carefully dismantling!will try that (with wheelnuts still on ends of bolts so i don't knacker the thread in case it doesn't work) & let you know, thanks
