Herald Door Re-skin

Hi All

Has anyone ever re skinned a Herald door (my passenger door is 40 percent filler) ::) and if so how difficult is it and how much is the skin likley to be.

Door skin is about £80 (plus VAT). Had one done on my Vitesse recently but got an expert to do it!

Before cutting your door, lay the new skin over the top and make sure the swage lines and door handle locations match up. I have encountered one or two mis-pressed skins which looked OK until fitted, but made panel alignment impossible.
There have also been cheap and cheerful aftermarket doorskins produced in the past. Avoid these at all costs, beware of suspiciously cheap old-stock skins in grey finish!

Hi ive lost count of how many door skins ive  done , and as they go herald ones are very easy ( no upper frame to do like modern cars). If You P.M me, i'll give you my phone number and i will talk you thru the process and the tools you will need.   If you live near north yorkshire i would fit them for you its not a long job.
