Crockett
Hi,I wanted to take a look at cleaning and adjusting the inhibitor switch on an automatic transmission. It seems to get stuck occasionally, preventing the car from starting at all. If I need to replace the switch then it will obviously need adjusting.Reading through the manual, it would appear that it should be reasonably straightfoward to check and adjust, except that it states to put the transmission into "L" in order to adjust the switch. The problem here is that it doesn't have an "L", only "P", "R", "N", "D", "2" and "1". My guess is that it should be put into "2" or "1" to do this, but which one?Does anyone know the answer? Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance
Luke
Hi We had a problem with our switch on the HCR, Dave Langrick sorted it for us at the time to get the car started, but then where ever we drove I had to keep the engine running, I think Berkeley replaced it on our return I will have a word with him when he gets home from work and place a reply for youSarah
