Steve AKA vitessesteve
I am currently in the process of swapping out the heater unit for a non leaky one. Have read up on what needs disconnecting but my car has a number of additions. Does anybody recognise this switch? It is under the dash to the left of of the steering next to the heater. Jason
t'aint standard so could be anything, usual suspects are a manual override for an electric fan, spot/driving/fog lights or a low tension cut-out for the ignition - i.e. secret immobiliser switch. Alternatively, in the case of my old PI, it was just a switch, not wired into anything!
Steve AKA vitessesteve
No manual override for the fan - that is on my list of jobs to do.Fog lights back and front are now, after some work, controlled as they should be via their fascia switch. Also found I have a hidden ignition key switch with flasher unit attached under the fascia to the right of the steering wheel which is wired into the ignition circuit. I do not seem to have a key for this - must have been fitted by a previous owner back in history and forgotten about. So it is a very secret immobiliser switch! Beans
Have to agree with Jason, and as it's not original I'd pull it out and repair the loom for peace of mind ...
