Otherwise other oils may be suitable eg valvoline VR1 20/50 from eurocarpartsGearbox oil is EP 80, 90 or 80/90 but needs to be a GL4 spec oil, not GL5. There is a semisynthetic variation about somewhere, may be better?Oil filter, there are a few that fit and numbers vary. Clive Posted April 3, 2013 Share Posted April 3, 2013 If driven hard or fast then yes.The oil temps can get very high=oil thins dramatically=new crank.I have a t shirt for that one.Do fit an oil thermostat, or get the take-off plate with one built in.
