compression ratio

You can't do more than guess what the compression might have been   At this length of time, unless you can document that no work has been done, the head will have been skimmed and/or the chambers enlarged, by flowing them.  Only measuring the chamber size can define the CR.

Hi John
The head doesnt seem to have been machined in any way, and it is from a verylow milage car (although could have gone round the clock) i was hopeing  i could just look at numbers but i guess i will have to mesure volumes and get my rusty head around the maths, is there a known thickness for an un molested head?
  Thanks for the input though.
