K+N air filter.

hello folks. I'm after some advice on fitting a K+N  air filter to my 13/60 herald.

Basically has any one installed one on a standard engine? I've had no mods on my engine other than electronic  ignition. Are there any noticeable benefits on installing one? thanks Folks.

Yes, I put one on many years ago as I happened to have one, and not a new standard filter.

It made no difference to the way the car drove over the ancient standard filter.

thanks for the reply. Yes it does help, i'd hoped for some benefit to buy one but if there's none i'll carry on with the factory set up. Cheers buddy.

It might look better, depending on your point of view, and might give more induction noise which again is personal preference....

I changed to K&N filters on my spitfire, then had to change needles etc. Something suppliers do not tell you about, and me being a novice, caused many hours of carb set up frustration.

one other advantage it that the K&N is washable and can be re used time and time over and I have one on my Stag in the standard housing.
