R1CBM
So I have a new soft top in the garage. I've stripped the old one out, fitted new studs and am ready to fit the new hood now.Questions I have are around order of work and positioning. So, should you start by adding the studs to the sides of the hood (Near the doors), fixing them in place and working to the middle of the hood over the boot. Then stretch over the frame and measure, glue and then cut?ORDo you fit the back metal strip into the bodywork first on the basis that it should be about central then work found the sides, then stretch over then glue and cut? Beans
If you really want to do it yourself, as it's not an easy job;- Start with the strip at the back of the hood;- Align everything carefully- Stretch and glue hood to front top rail (carefull with tension and alignment !!!);- Fix side studs;Always work from the inside outwards;A few extra hands can be very useful
