Adrianb
Yep but who’s counting! And now thankfully I don’t have to wait for a nice dry warm day to unwrap the re wrap the 13/60. I’ve enclosed my rear drive and put a roof over it and can now go and hide from the wife! jobs done so far,Engine stripped and rebuilt, new clutch, brake pipes front to rear, two cross members and a side rail attached Old rust taken away and new rust! Obtained. But now I don’t have to keep covering up and uncovering hopefully things can progress,Joy! Edited May 17 by Adrianb
Adrianb
The vehicle covered with the black tarp is the JC Midge which I also have to keep me busy! Eventually it might look like a 1930s MG Midget but with Herald 1200 engine and chassis.
Adrian Girling
Transparent roof to let the light in, and no windows so nobody can see what you are actually doing! The perfect man shed 👍😂
Adrianb
Plus the Selective hearing you gain when over 60! It’s Heaven!
Adrianb
Whilst replacing the bushes on the front end I had to remove the arm and discovered that the bolts holding the arm on were as corroded as can be seen! New bolts and shims cleaned up. So it’s worth checking the stuff you can’t see!
Adrianb
After spend too long in the Lounge bar and allowing Robins to nest on the Bulkhead,Finally they have jumped nest and I’ve had time to make some Noise!.The Bulkhead has been wire brushed back to bare metal and rusty stuff removed and I’ve applied the Bilthamer stuff. So far so good Every thing as smooth as a smooth thing should be! I then read that using an Etch primer would be good! Never used the stuff before! And something is not quite right! It’s now as rough as a Tramps Chin! Maybe I sprayed the stuff to distant from the BH. or the metal was to warm! Not sure or maybe it’s supposed to be like that! Don’t think so! Looks like I’ve got a bit of rubbing down to do.
Wendy Dawes
Hi Adrian I etch primed Mabel’s roof which I bare metalled and also the bulk head, I used 1200 wet and dry to smooth it before priming, then again smoothed out the primer after letting it harden for a week before top costing, it’s brilliant for rust inhibition and the end result is great Edited May 18 by Wendy Dawes

Wendy Dawes
Oh and I used panel wipe between sanding and before painting to remove grease and even fingerprints from the primer coats
Adrianb Posted Friday at 13:13 Author Share Posted Friday at 13:13 So the Robins have gone and sanding and wire brushing done and a bit of paint applied! Not perfect but good enough to start the process of putting the bits back on and back on the chassis!
