PhilDav
Anyone tried coach enamel paint, with a roller? I'm not sure whether I use it only on bits of car that don't show ... or use it all over.. I bought a big tin so far and not used any yet. Otherwise I rust proof, paint primer and take to a body shop for paint.. but that costs a few pennies.. https://tools-paint.com/tekaloid-2268-c.asp
Clive
It depends what quality of finish you are looking for. So why not try it on some internal panels and see how it works out? There are some downsides. It does not polish well (unless things have changed in the last decade) and to respay again would require a few years for that to harden, then 2K primer, or an isolator coat, making prep more difficult. It would also affect resale value (if that matters to you) As you say, a pro respray is not a cheap thing to have done.
