Jim A Posted May 4 Share Posted May 4 Hi. At the end of last summer I posted about my OD issue. I have moved house over winter and the car has been in store. When using the car it will come out of OD when under load - hill or acceleration. This doesn’t usually happen for the first 10 miles or so. Today, I took it for a short drive. When I selected reverse, it wouldn’t move, but whined. This was ok later. It then displayed the same symptoms of being in OD and then coming out under load - but I hadn’t selected OD! When I did flick the OD stalk, it clicked. i was planning to change the oil as a starter. Does today add any more clues to the problem? glang Posted May 4 Share Posted May 4 No additive in oil I hope? Oil change good start. Then are you certain solenoid is operating everytime and you havent got an intermittent electrical fault?
