wukkie1 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 hi had lights working on 68 vitesse now outside main and side lights dont work is there a hidden fuse box somewhere. are the inside main beam the dip ones regards wukkie1
GarthT Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 generally the two outer lamps are your double filament main and dipped beam. If it's had a halogen conversion these would usually have a H4 55/60w bulb in.the inner two are your high beam, again if they have been converted to halogen this will be a single filament H1 60w.I think our cars originally had a single 35A fuse but I couldn't tell you where it would be.
garyf Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 There are 3 Fuses on the later 2 Litre Vitesse, two in the Fuse box on the bulkhead adjacent to the battery and an inline fuse hidden under the dash on the passenger side. Not sure what Fuse does what, but if you consult the wiring diagram in the Owners hand book or Workshop manual all should become clear (Pun intended!! ;D)RegardsGary
Jordon T Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Hi wukkie1Yeah my 1968 Vitesse 2-litre Mk1 has 3, like gary said, 2 in the engine bay and one inline fuse running through a red wire, behind the dash, near the flasher unit. I think it controls all lights. :)Jordan
wukkie1 Posted November 2, 2011 Author Posted November 2, 2011 thanks folks found the inline fuse was blown replaced all ok wukkie1
