1. Silverstone Opening for Booking
Our annual visit to the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit on Monday 17th March will be opened for booking this week. We aim to open booking at mid-day on Wednesday 8th January. Full details of this day may be found on our website http://www.mgs-on-track.com/events/158/silverstone_gp_2014-03-17.htm.

The circuit is 1/2 mile longer than the previous GP circuit and the new Arena section is a real technical challenge. This is a three session per hour day with each session lasting 20 minutes. We expect each car to have 2 hours of track time throughout the day, assuming no stoppages. Two sessions will be MGs-on-Track and one session will be Lotus-on-Track. Once all the MG session bookings are in we will assign the sessions on the basis of experience. One session will be more suitable for less experienced drivers and the other for the more experienced and expert drivers.

Beginners / First Timers please note that due to restrictions in our contract with Silverstone we regret that first time track day drivers may not participate in this day on the Grand Prix Circuit. Please check your website user profile to make sure the experience level recorded there reflects your current status.


The cost for this event is £170 (MGCC members) with instruction available at £13 per session and coaching at £32. Further details may be obtained from our event manager, Dave Pearce (DaveP@mgs-on-track.co.uk).


2. Bedford Autodrome

There are still places available (17 at the time of writing) for those of you wishing to blow away the Christmas cobwebs with our first track day of the season. Bedford Autodrome is eminently suited to our more experienced drivers as this is an Open Pit Lane event run by our good friends, Lotus on Track. The cost for the day to MGoT members is just £125, what a bargain! More details and the link to the booking website may be found
