TR Register TD Castle Combe - Weds 5th Oct

Hi All

Kevin from TR Register has sent me details of a TD that they are running at Combe on Weds 5th October. I know that is a bit close to the RBRR, but for those interested or those that want to use another marque of car this could be a good day. Anyone interested please indicate in other entries in this thread and follow the instructions that Kevin provides.

Kevin writes:

"As you may have seen in TR Action #292, we’re running another track day at Castle Combe on Wednesday 5 October

This will be another “mainly” Triumph track day.  All four wheel Triumphs or their derivatives will be welcome, but in addition TR Register members may bring their other classic along should they wish.  And the definition of classic we’re using here is anything over 25 years old.

Once again we’ll have special sessions for the less confident drivers and this time there will be free tuition from the more experienced drivers should anyone want it.  So this is an excellent opportunity to let your partner, family or friends have a go.  And with a greater variety of cars on the circuit, it should make spectating interesting as well.

Booking is via the TR Register shop http://www.tr-registershop.co.uk/castle-combe-track-day---wednesday-5th-october-2016-9829-p.asp and the cost is £110 / car and first driver with an additional £10 for each driver and / or passenger.  Alternatively you can book via the office 01235 818866, speak with Jo or Sue.

Any questions?

Best wishes and hope to see you there.

Kev

We've a good variety of cars for the Mainly Triumph track day at Castle Combe on 5 October.

Joining the TR3s, TR4s, TR5s are a Toledo, Stag, Spitfire, GT6, E-Type, Porsche 930, BMW 2002 and a Frazer Nash.

If you wish to join us there are still a dozen or so places left.  It's incredibly good value and you can book by the TR Register shop or by calling Jo / Sue in the office.  Keep it classic though.  Your car must be at least 25 years old.

If that's not you bag, then come along and spectate.

regards kev

Looks like the weather is going to be very good, so please come along.

The Tavern Cafe will be open from 7.00am with most drivers arriving between 7.30 and 8.00am

The driver briefing will take place at 8.30ish and the cars on the track at 9.00.

There will be a break for an hour around midday to feed and water the marshals and the track action will finish at 5.00pm

We've a good variety of cars, there's no entry fees for spectators and dogs are allowed but must be kept on their leads at all times.

The cafe serves decent food and the banter is excellent.

You still have a few hours to book if you wish to drive or if you are reading this on Monday, call the TR Register office and speak to Jo or Sue.

Hope to see you there.

best wishes Kev
