I'm nearing completion of my mk2 GT6 restoration and amongst a few other teething problems my overdrive is not working :-/.The solenoid clicks on and off when I am in 4th or 3rd but the overdrive does not engage.I did however take it for a short drive back in January and it seemed to work then?

Box oil level low?
If you are running it in the garage at tickover the OD pump probably won't develop the oil pressure required to engage the OD.
Done it like this with a Vitesse, sounds awful...... even worse when the od engages, needed 2000rpm plus to kick in

Edit, if inside and the car is raised at the rear the oil pump might be being starved as well
