  1. My brake pedal is firm when pressed but after about 15 seconds the pedal slowly goes to the floor. No brake fluid is lost. I seem to remember this most likely to be the master cylinder seals. I am i right? Thanks  Mark
  2. Thanks Mike and Colin. Results have now been checked and code boards collected. One code board on a LWR on section 2 has gone missing overnight so it makes no difference to the placements. Also a miss count on the fails for car 6 and 3 means they both drop 1 fail each but it makes no difference to the results. Mike Banks/Colin Wake - Mk3 Spitfire - Expert     1st overall 2 Fails Roger Saunt/Richard Warr - 2000 Mk1 - Novice    2nd and first Novice 4 Fails and 15:30 on tiebreaker. Dale Barker/Nigel Abdullah - 2000 - Expert          3rd and first Expert 4 Fails and 27:30 on tiebreaker. Clive Senior/Gill Senior - Toledo - Novice            4th 6 fails Leighton Ball/Alison Ball - 2.5Pi MkII - Novice      5th 9 Fails Tim Hunt/Pierre Miles - TR4A - Novice                 6th 21 fails Annie Andrews/Ruth Jennaway - 2500TC - Beginner   None competitive class 5 Fails would have been 4th if competing. I hope you all had a great time it has been a lot of hard work but fun setting it up. Its now time to have a well earned rest. Mark Rutter and Pete Jackson.
  3. I have already said my two pence worth about the ques at the first control and LE but if nothing changes for next time around I will still be taking part again and for as long as I can drive I will keep taking part. As for favourite parts its all great just some bits are even greater than others. Mark.
  4. I heard a rumour that shuttleworth is being considered for the start/finish next time does anyone know if that is correct? If its not correct it would be worth considering and it would give a better route on the last section. The changes that would be nice to see are More marshals at the first control when the cars are still all bunched together it took 30 minuets to get our road book signed and I know its been said before but we have to sort out the breakfast que at Lands End. Talk about the most inefficient method of working I have ever seen. As for the rest of it I love it and would hate to loss Badgers Halt. Mark

  12. Hi Howard I thought it probably was Tim. I would like to share some of my experience with epilepsy. My daughter suffers from epilepsy, Grand Mal , Petit Mal and complex partials. Most peoples experience of epilepsy is the grand Mal. Lying on the floor shaking and dribbling. But some seizures are so subtitle that someone could be having a seizure right in front of you and you wouldn't know. My daughter has a laughing seizure, you would think that someone is tickling her or just said the best joke ever not that she is in a full blown seizure. The RBRR has an extra prevalence to myself as my first run in 2014 was almost missed due to my daughter being admitted to hospital 2 days before after her seizures went out of control. I was still sat beside her bedside in hospital when all the cars left the start and my team mates diverted past Cambridge to pick me up on route after the doctor told me she would be fine. Mark
  13. Who is the admin for the justgiving page. I have requested to join the group 3 or 4 times now for our team. It says a request has been sent to the admin but our team does not seem to get added. Or am I doing something wrong.
  14. Echo Mikes post. A very enjoyable day made all the better for the win. I tried plotting the herringbone again when I got home and made it fit straightaway. I must have tried a dozen times on the rally and couldn't quite get it to fit. I put it down to the limited space in the front of a Spitfire. I have long advocated a handicap system based on available space to plot in the car 😉 but the general consensus is that Mike should get a bigger car . I still say that first spot height is beyond the junction . Thanks Mark.
  15. I would take issue with this statement as the new web site address was not publicised so how can users prepare prior to the event. It feels to me that as club officers had been given the web address for testing in advance they automatically assumed that everyone else new it.  As the Web site had been in test mode it did not show up in a web search and still does not though this should change over the next few days as it populates out across the interweb. I only found out what it was by asking questions on the forum and that even took a couple of days before I got an answer. I believe from comments made by club officers an assumption was also made that the web address was in Keith's article in Club Torque but it was not. But on a positive note the new web site is very good and yes it was slow yesterday but that was to be expected with the large volume of traffic that hit it at post 7pm so well done to all involved. Mark
  16. Panic I am doing that. I have no idea what my member username is let alone the password. I am also have email problems so I need to change my email address as well as I keep losing emails. I think its time to panic with the RBRR entry getting close. Mark.
  17. Pete we have had this conversation before, All cars are girls. Would a bloke just break down for no reason at all!(dizzy)
  18. That's good as She needs to be fit for next years RBRR.  Saying that She has been playing up since last years RBRR.(think)(dance)
  19. Is it that long seems like only yesterday that you last did a rally. Expert for next year then
  20. Is it about time the Seniors thought about moving up to expert!  Its a lot more fun, apparently
  21. I am always up for the challenge lets just hope we have a car that can do more than 20mph this year.
