  1. Hi All A few of us from the Cheshire and Staffordshire area group are having a drive out tomorrow (Monday). If any of you would like to join us please be outside the Victory Hall in Woore by 10am Regards Bruce
  2. So sorry to read that Howard. Is the car a right off? 8-(
  3. Hi Pete Was yours the red Vitesse? If it is, then we followed you for several miles in my French Blue Stag. You might want to take a look at your exhaust as it appears very low to the ground and we could see sparks coming up a few times. Given the state of some of the roads Mik sent us along we were genuinely amazed your exhaust wasn't ripped off! Regards Bruce
  4. Roger About 6 years ago I bought the bracket from Wards which permits the alternator to be fitted on the upper nearside of the engine. The wiring loom modification is simple enough so I made my own but they do sell the wiring as a kit. The new alternator I purchased (also from Wards) was an uprated 80amp Wasp. The standard alternator won't fit that bracket as the distance from the mounting holes to the pulley is different. Bruce

  6. Oh, I see to recall ordering them via the website for the 2018 event. Cheers Bruce
  7. Hi Am I correct in assuming there will be 2021 RBRR T shirts available? If there are how do we go about ordering them? I can't remember if that was an option or not when we booked our team entry. For all I know I might have ordered them at that point😂 Thanks Bruce
  8. Fascinating stuff. Please keep posting updates on progress 👍

The locals came out in force to see our Triumphs pass through Westmoreland😄
  11. I have spent the last 30 years since I graduated in engineering, working in factory that overhauls and repairs bits off railway rolling stock. When I first started there we were still manufacturing locomotives on site but those days are gone. At one time my office overlooked the static diesel test where we put locomotives under load whilst stationary. A 3000hp engine on full chat for several hours makes the windows rattle😄 My current role is to manage the team that interpret customer specifications into a format that our shopfloor staff can work too, provide the purchasing team with the relevant bill of materials, source the specialist tooling and answer technical queries received from customers, commercial, production etc. Good fun, made more enjoyable by the people I work with. Bruce
  12. I wonder what Darren found so interesting about the rear of my Stag? Bruce 🙂
  13. Looking forward to it immensely😃. Jim and I are travelling up from Cheshire on Saturday morning and aiming to be at the start point by 8:30am Regards Bruce
  14. Aye, I recently fitted Nightbreaker bulbs along with a new set of four Cibie Headlights lamps to our Stag. It was like daylight😃 and with the warm glow of traditional bulbs rather than the harsh white of LED's. Bruce
  15. Love that GT6 T Shirt. Where did you obtain it please? Regards Bruce
  16. Indeed! When we saw the car we feared the worst! Relieved to hear they are generally okay. Bruce
