  1. I am not on Facebook and I doubt I ever will be. So it appears I am missing out on the RBRR chatter which is a shame seeing as it's my first time on the event. But hey ho I will turn up on the day, enjoy the event and go home again.    My opinion is use this forum or loose it!   Bruce
  2. Hi All I am confused as our Just giving page says we have had 6 donations but my profile summary page says our RBRR page has had 8 donations. The Club Triumph over arching summary page also says 8 donations. The cash totals (Not including gift aid) also disagree. I made a cash donation on behalf on a friend and the total increased on the Club page but not our page.  Any ideas why? Cheers Bruce
  3. Reading your lists had got me thinking about what to take in our Stag. Here is my initial thoughts:- Rotor arm Dizzy cap Electronic ignition unit Spark plugs  HT leads Coil (6v) Balast resistor Power steering belt Water pump belt (for EWP) Alternator belt for top left position  Fuel pump Fuel hose Carb diaphragm and float gaskets  Throttle cable Carb linkage plastic elbows Wiper blades Bulbs Alternator (uprated type) if I can afford to purchase it K seal Oils and water Grease Tie wraps Various wire and fittings Tow rope Various tools   Regards Bruce
  4. I am gutted that we missed the event. The Stag decided it didn't want to leave Cheshire as its fuel pump jammed before we could make it east of the M6.😭 Ended up being recovered home by the AA. I got  the car up and running again Sunday morning but by then the Border Raider was off the menu for us🙁 Note to self, carry a functioning spare fuel pump on future trips! Bruce
  5. Hi Mike Dale Garlick will be with me. We will be travelling in my Stag, fresh from its respray. Regards Bruce
  6. Hi All   I have received no information off anybody with regards to this event since April time. Have I missed something?   Regards   Bruce    P.S. our Stag is back in one piece so I intend using that rather than our GT6.
  7. There is no rush. The event isn't for 3 months. I won't be going round the factory where I work asking for sponsorship until a few weeks beforehand.    Regards   Bruce
  8. Because the Stag is not a two seater bone shaker Bruce
  9. Still busy welding our Stag! Then it requires a full repaint🤔 Bruce
  10. Ooooh the local paparazzi might be there! Don't forget your ties and best suits. The WAGS will be wanting to get glammed up😆 Regards Bruce
  11. Hi Chris Great news. I take it you want all of us to fill in the entrance form shown in the mag, even if we have already stated we are coming? Regards Bruce
  12. Hi There is an interesting article in the latest mag regarding the Border Raider. What does the entry number stand at currently? Regards Bruce
  13. Hi In the latest CT mag there is an article about the RBBR which makes mention of the receiving an invite from Just Giving regarding setting up a fundraising page. I have received no such invite from Justgiving. Has anybody else. Who do I need to contact to obtain details etc? Regards Bruce. (Team 95 aka "B.A.D Team")
  14. Hi I am sorted out with a co-driver now. Dale Garlick who accompanied me on the 2016 Border Raider has agreed to partake again. This time we will be using my Stag rather than the GT6. It will be a good shakedown run in preparation for the RBBR.   Regards Bruce
  15. Hi All So several have people 2.5 engines fitted but I am also interested in whether they have the 132 or 150 bhp camshaft fitted. With regards to gearboxes, what work is involved in fitting an ex Stag/Saloon  gearbox with J type overdrive? Thanks for all the replies to date Regards Bruce
  16. Hi Gully Which cam have you fitted into the engine? Regards Bruce
  17. From my recollection of rebuilding the struts on ours 9 years ago, the inner bearing is supposed to rotate within the top mount. Regards Bruce
  18. Hi All I have the opportunity to fit a 2.5 litre engine complete with a TR6 camshaft into our GT6. My question is, will the diff, propshaft and driveshafts cope with the increase in power? The car is a late Mark 3 with swing spring rear suspension. Regards Bruce
  19. Make your own harness, that's what I did.  It's easy enough. Bruce
  20. Hi Jason Thanks, I also missed the word "club" out! DOH!!! All sorted now Regards Bruce
