  1. No Theo - I aim to be with you at the Nurburging early afternoon on the 14th (Saturday) and camp overnight. Then early (ish - about 8.30) start next morning and drive to Lake Garda arriving about 7.30PM on the 15th (my 50th birthday ). Monday 16th - meeting some other reprobates at the top of the Stelvio That's if everything goes to plan
  2. I don't see it being a problem here Mike - getting a homologation sheet and building a rally car will be of interest to anyone doing so, TR7 or not. To answer Andy's question though - TR7 16V Homologation sheet number is 3071 - I know cos that's what's on mine. From my research the TR8 one is 654 but the MSA is the place to go. You'll need an original anyway when you get to the point of your first historic stage rally As regards help and advice - well, Theo has been kind enough to suggest you follow my example  - thanks Theo I have by no means got everything right or built the very best rally car but I do have a MSA log booked TR716V and will have the full hsitoric papers in good time too. Please feel free to read my blog at http://raidertr7.blogspot.com/  - but start right from the begining in 2005 as it has taken me a very long time due to a limited budget and incompetence on my part .
  3. I'm going back there in August - just off to work on the 2000 first though
  4. It was really good in 2005 - late afternoon going into dusk on a Saturday in September http://s59.photobucket.com/albums/g315/RaiderTR7/?action=view&current=Stelvio10CR2005.flv
  5. Hey there's a car and a bike up there now And less snow in the background
  6. No further progress on the snow clearing. June 1st before it's open?
  7. Well I am celebrating my 50th by visiting some great places - mainly in the Alps but also including the Nurburgring. We will arrive at Lake Garda on the night of August 15th (my brithday), stay on a campsite for 3 nights so that we can do some Alpine passes in the vicinity and then return via Switzerland andd France
  8. It's not one way if that's what you mean Nick. So you can do it from the Italian to the Austrian side and then come back again - either way is very very good with some saying Austria to Italy is the best I'll be there myself this August
  9. That car looks achingly gorgeous Theo - we are not worthy
  10. It's really satisfying when you start building the car back up - again it looks great Theo and every bit that goes on is one step nearer completion and driving again
  11. The same to you Theo - best wishes for Xmas and the New Year. But you know, I am slightly concerned. You have a 16V TR7 FHC - so do I. You have a TR7 DHC - so do I. You have a Land Rover Defender - I keep looking at ex-military Land Rovers. Apart from the fact that your cars are so much better than mine I can see why we get along And here's a winter scene - although from last year, now there's a car port which is keeping all the snow off!
  12. That's the same OMP pedal extensions I have Theo - altho I have only ever fitted the accelerator one (don't know where the rest are now)
  13. I can't describe how fantastic your car looks Theo. That last picture is simply wonderful - who needs a Ferrari If it wasn't for the cabinet behind it that could have been a professional photoshoot. It really shows how futuristic the TR7 was is
  14. Your car is going to look very good out and about Theo. I saw a Triton green DHC being driven in an enthusiastic manner on the A1 last year and it looked fabulous
  15. I really like the Rolduc and Pyrenees videos - so much I gave them a 5* rating These two videos summ up great aspects of the 10CR - super countryside and the marvellous Club Triumph spirit
  16. Thank goodness for that - for a minute I thought you had decided on peppermint green (puke)
  17. The car is going to look great tho when it's done Theo
  18. Same with me Theo - I'll probably remove those pads as well mind you in the summer when we have tropical temparatures 😎 to make it easier.
  19. That's all so familiar Good luck Theo and keep at it(clap)
  20. Good luck with the project Theo - I enjoyed our trip on La Carrera in the car
  21. It would be a great basis for a 4WD project that I am happy to donate the gearboxes and an engine for. But - I can't do this myself - everything I have is going into the TR7 rally plans (Project Manx 2010)
