  4. I got my 65amp alternator from Midlands Sports and Classics, cost £34 close on 4 years ago, still seems to be working well 16,000 mls later

  10. Try disconnecting the tie rod ends from the hubs and try turning the rack again. Possibility that one of the suspension top mounts is seizing?
  11. Looks like a steering rack refurb now. the one I fitted new seals on in my dusty old shed has finally succumbed to the dusty assembly conditions after 16,000mls
