  1. Plus on these quiet country's  lanes where tractors and lorries from the farms use and spray muck and noise about doesn't count
  2. I can work on it.......(whistle)(whistle)(whistle)(think)(think)(think)
  3. Lol..................... Don't think he will now.........I think I upset him.....................(whistle)
  4. Even smaller tank in a Herald 1200, I bet Keith had one eye on the fuel gauge and the other checking every village for a gas station  (whistle)(whistle)(whistle)
  5. You can always use the 2dr for recce, it used more than 3 tanks for the weekend 🤔 Must get the colour tune plug out again 😀
  6. Thanks Mik, now everyone will know why Janet and I are always last back or so late everyone as up sticks and gone home 😀
  7. Wow, the link must have worked 😀 Thanks Pete, I do like to just click at everything, (though sometimes Janet can get carried away, with the break down)   and thought if we put them all up it will be good for the ones who weren't able to make see what they missed out on 🙂 Certainly be entering next year 😉
  8. Here are some.....Well a few of my photo's of the 2017 Border Raiders Tour. Hopefully the link works https://flic.kr/s/aHsm2roVE7
  9. A bit of a late reply but many many thanks to all the organisers of this great event, as usual CT has excelled again in producing a very enjoyable weekend and must say that Janet and I will be back next year, maybe we will even  arrive back before all leave 😀 I took a few photos too and will look at linking them or putting them up on the page this weekend. 🙂 But first off tomorrow will be fitting the 2drs old dissy and 'new' dissy cap so I can return Russell's borrowed one. A special big thanks to Russell for the use of his dissy and cap, we wouldn't have been able to finish without this. 🙂 Also many thanks to Briggita and Bernd Ebert for their timing light and for timing the engine 😉 and to all the help we endured while stranded on the top of the Yorkshire Dales. 😎 Pete
  10. Hey, it's a shop.......How many woman would stay in the car!!!!!!!
  11. (think)(think)(think)(think)(think) Why, is there likely to be a special stage in Tesco car park 😀
  12. This sounds very tempting indeed and what's more I am off that weekend............(think)(think) Janet and I missed the HCR this year so could be a good excuse to practice for the next HCR 🙂
  13. I'm guessing engine oil will still work ok??? I once filled the gearbox and diff in one of my MK1 2000's with automatic transmission fluid,  though a little noisy in the gear departments, it certainly helped with acceleration, being less friction! Don't know how it would have been long term, I only used the car around town and no long journeys. The race car ran with a thinner gear oil in the O/D box and had no problems.
  14. No but you gave me one....................Jehovah's witness ring a bell
  15. Interesting that you should say that Roger. A friend of mine who had a huge collection of car had blocks of wood placed firmly on the clutch pedals  hold there from the drivers seat, plus most of the cars were on blocks. I have thought of doing this to the Estate as it will be unused for the next 3 months while we are in NZ. Is this advisable or could it cause seal failure inside the master and slave cylinders?
  16. Like hanging the co-drivers clean underwear on for one of Radder's moments 😀
