Bluesj
Hi all, I’ve just got a pair of 4 pot callipers and brake disc spacers for my TR7 ;D.The callipers are Rover SD1 units but came off of a tr7 so I know that they fit. Unfortunately I didn’t get any discs :'(. the bloke I got them from said that the discs are also SD1vented, but the SD1 discs have a 5 bolt fixing, the conversion spacers only have 4 bolt holes. Can any one help me with so info as to which disc I need for this set up?Cheers Simon
Raider
I am pretty sure this is a Rimmer Brothers kit - try giving them a ring.Oh, and you'll need at least 14" wheels
Lister
Raider .Do you know anyone who has imported brake disks and calipers from the states.Have seen a couple of Wilwood brake calipers that should increase teh stopping power of the 16v, but wondered weather or not anyone had allready done it .Al
Raider
No, I don't know of anyone.Another mod is to fit Volvo 4 pot calipers from a Volvo 240.There'sa guy near Preston who may come to the Pendle and Pennine meeting who has these fitted. Ellis
Hmmmm, the Capri M16 spaced callipers with vented discs are very good also. Fitted them to my TR7 (when I stuck the Sprint lump in) - made a huge difference.
mikehardwick
I'm with you on that one, Nutter - I've got the Capri vented discs and calipers on my DHC, purchased as a kit from S+S, complete with spacers and longer brake pipes. What a difference!Mike
