Trifire
Hi,Can anybody recommend where I can get my alloy wheels cleaned up or I can exchange them? Thanks Sam
dollyboy
professional places will charge you in the order of £20-£40 per wheel, the guy I used is in Nuneaton, but his polisher chap had a bad back and is out of action for a while. there are a few ads in autotrader, or buy a polishing kit from a specialist for around the cost of having 1 wheel done, whack the bits on your drill and have a go yourself, more satisfying this way I reckon ;D
Mad Mart
Give it a go yourself, you'll be amazed at the results! ;DBeforeAfterHave a look on my website for details.

Trifire
Thanks for all the help. My main concern is that one of my wheels is not providing a seal and I am forever inflating the tyre. What I need is somewhere were they can shot blast the inside of the rim as well as having a nice finish on the outside.
dollyboy
dont need blasting to cure that m8, get the tyre off, wire brush on drill, get all the flakey bits n white powdery crap off, repaint inside of rim with couple of good coats of hammerite. chassis paint is better if you have any but hammerite will last for a few yrs before it needs re-doing;D
Mad Mart
ooh! that reminds me Kev, I must get a few tins of Hammerite in for project orange. ;D
dollyboy
;D ;D ;Di dont think theres much wrong with the stuff if you use it in places that arent constantly exposed to the elements and potential stone chips. I painted the inside of my sills for orange with hammerite even though they're zintec ones.also think it'd be worth doing the inside of the front panel.shame they dont do orange hammerite...;D
