JohnD
All,I have a box of Churchill tools that I'd like to ID, pleae. One is a shaft, with a heavy boss on one end that has a polished face, two bearing surfaces and a loose collar retained by a nut. The collar and boss still have wax on them as if it has never been used. It bears the number 18G 191M. Photo belowT'other is a stand, also with a smaller but heavy base with a polished face. It bears 18G 191/4. I found a picture of it here: http://www.spritespot.com/Downloads/Workshop%20Manual/S%20Service%20Tools.pdf (page 10) where it is described as a "Bevel Pinion Setting Gauge". It is used with a dial guage, but lacks the calibration block (?) Pics below of online diagram and photo. The box bears a proper brass Churchill Tool label that says "20S-M-4615" and the box also contians a plastic box label that says "18G 134DH ADAPTOR REP DIFF BRG." but I fear that both are red herrings. Can anyone ID these tools, please? Are they two seperate tools, despite the numbers? Are they for Triumphs?John

Steve AKA vitessesteve
I have this http://www.vitessesteve.co.uk/PDF/TR6-Churchill-Tools.pdf but neither of your tools seem to be listed. The official workshop manuals have details of the Churchill tools for that model.
