Herald Freak
i built my 1500 with a full bottom end balence ARP bolts a TT fast road 89 cam shaved 60 thou from the head and removed some casting flashings from the ports. Is a very nice engine with good manners and a pleasant increase in power.Have not yet put car on rollers but will soon should be apptox 100-115hp

Herald Freak
Help the gas flow, i have 40mm ram pipes on mine (no filters bit risky) and a custom exhaust. The biggest thing is the crank/flywheel balence judging by the difference made to mine the stock ones cant be too accurate, Would also go for the ARP bolts at close to £60 a set sound pricy but the long stroke of the 1500 can often overload lower quality items. Will be putting mine on the rollers hopefully in the next few weeks at the engine is now run in and with mot looming i will have to sort the emmisions out.
