Doug Paterson
Yep either that or a 1300 Dolly.I have a DH.....HE block in my car but with 1500 bottom end/head/carbs etc. Didn't work this out til after I bought the car .... but I've put a load of fast miles on it. Its a quick wee engine and it is still going strong.
stillnotfinnished
thanks doug! by 1500 bottem end is that the crank & con rods then? so is mine a large crank 1300 then?
Doug Paterson
You know I can't hand on heart say that all DH engines are big bearing engines (but I think so). Someone will confirm.Mine clearly is and has the recessed bores too - so needs the same gasket as a regular 1500.Yep I've got 1500 crank - would not have chosen to mess with engine in that way but I knew nothing when I bought the car. Like I say its been trouble free ..... so far.[edit - just checked - yeah same bearings on dh and 1500 engines]
