Spin on Oil Filter Part Number

I'm off to Newark Auto-jumble on Sunday, can anyone confirm the Unipart Part number for the Spin on Oil filter to suit the 6 cylinder Engine, I know's it's been on here before but can't find the Post?

The Fram or Cooper part numbers would be useful too.

When they are only £2-3 from ECP, not really worth bothering with Autojumble parts,

1.8 or 2.0 Golf ones from approx. 1990 suit.

Search the forum archives for lots of other suitable ones.

Or just about any filter for a ford! All you need is 3/4 unf thread. A mondeo one will be good and long if that is what you like!

The Unipart number is GFE227. Fram equivalent is PH2964, Champion is C114. I called my local motor factor and asked them to cross-reference the Unipart number against filters on the computer system.

Found me a generic filter that fits – I forget the brand – but I've just completed the 10CR with it on and no problems 🙂

I use Ryco Z103 or Z131A whichever available. Z131A is cheaper over here for some reason.

Just tried one of the K&N oil filters that Moss sell, seems good. Like the hexagonal nut on the bottom, should make taking off easier-yeah right!

BTW, what a nice car that TR5 is, well done.
