mowerman
Now the engine reassembly is well under way and because I now have new Duplex pulleys with no timing marks I need to static time the engine. The big question is how? Mr Haynes states doing it with the head on and measuring the valve clearances etc but I have no head fitted (still being machined) so is it possible to time with no head? If anyone has done it I would really like to talk so please pm me. Thanks, Steve.
Deleted User
just stick your fingers in 2 adjacent followers, put lots of pressure on them, turn the (cam) and feel when the 2 followers are at identical height....works great.Doesn't work too well with women I'm told!GT
