Door hinge pins

Has anyone got a good method of removing front door hinge pins? mine are extremely worn and seem rather reluctant to come out!! Any help gratefully received.

I've had to drill them out if they wont drift out, I have to use 'long' series drills either 6" or 12" to protect the wing.  I started with 3/32 then go up in stages up to 7/32. Keep trying to drift them out as you go up in size. They drift out eventually.

ps for the bottom pin it helps if the sill has been removed so you can drill from underneath. Do wear googles!!!!

Thanks Richard. Sounds like a common problem...! I'll try drilling them but I'm afraid my sills are in place!
