Door check straps

Hello chaps just a quick question really. I've just noticed I need to fit Door check straps to my 13/60 and I was looking at how they will go in. I can't see how they fit & I can't find any reference to them in any of the books. I might just be missing The wood for the trees I don't know. Can anyone tell me How are these items installed on the car?

They just slot in through the door from inside out, remove the door trim and the stays go through the aperture in the door frame. They don't attach to anything at the door end; the other end goes into the clip on the A post of the bulkhead. You can grind down a small bolt to secure it, if you don't have the original rivets.

I initially thought that's how they go in, then I thought hang on, that's a bit too simple. For once it is something simple. Thanks for the pointer I'll get onto it. S.
