Alternator conversion

easy. disconnect battery, swap dynamo to alternator. Small wire in dynamo goes to the small terminal, big wire to either of the big ones.

Disconnect all wires from control box. Discard the earth wire, no longer needed.

join the F(ield) wire to the WL(warning light).

Join all the rest together.

Job Done.

To join the big terminals I used a bit of copper (15mm pipe) and cut the tabs in that. Others have soldered the control box up to achieve the same thing but disguised, others I have seen have just soldered all the wires together.
You may consider putting a fusebox in as well, as there are none fitted as std it would not be a bad idea, but refer to a wiring diagram, one of the thick wires is the power from the dynamo/battery, and the others are feed wires to the circuits on the car. Fuses should be on easc of these circuits.
