Hi again everyone, new problem! Tried to open passenger door on wifes vitesse and it caught th bonnet edge. i spent an hour fiddling with the cones and door hinges but its still not good. Does anyone live in Cornwall and could give me a hand or know of any Triumph specialists down my way?

If youve not already tried you could try adjusting the bonnet adjustment bars under the bonnet (two long bars that look like they have a 6" adjustable big nut in the middle held in place by small nuts each end coming out of back of overiders).  My heralds bonnet was really badly positioned when I got it but adjusting these worked wonders for me, but when I first did it I too got jammed up with the front of the passenger door by moving the bonnet too far backwards.  Generally anything to do with panel gaps is a bit of a swine to get right on these cars, there seem hundreds of different points to adjust and readjust.

Your vitesse looks very nice by the way,  ive always hankered after a saloon.

Car looks lovely...
Don't beat yourself up about being unable to get a 5mm panel gap at the rear edge of the bonnet and front wings..... I tried, and scraped the new paint off the leading edge of my doors as well...aaaargh!

So I adjusted mine to a similar gap to the one in your picture, and don't lose sleep about it. I guess they are all the same?

Take it easy, Russ
