1850 reverse light switch

Does anyone know if it's possible (and how to) adjust the reverse light switch on a single rail gearbox?

The Dolly's lights work (most times) when engaging reverse gear but then appear to go out when taking up drive or moving the gear lever slightly.

Anyone know if this switch be adjusted in any way or if this is this just a case of replacing the switch, as it's worn? I can't seem to find much in the book.

Cheers
Daryl.

Not sure if the Dolly 1850 single rail box is similar to the Spit 1500 one or not, but my Spit has exactly the same problem.  The switch on my car has a long threaded portion which can be screwed in or out a few turns to adjust the point at which it switches on or off.  I didn't quite get it right when I put my car back together but I can't face the prospect of removing console/seats/carpet/tunnel to make a 2 minute adjustment - I'll wait for something more major to go wrong  :) and then fix the reversing lights at the same time.

cheers
