roger saunt
Has anyone changed the position of their alternator from the orinal spot to the top left of the engine and if so how did you do it? Regards Roger
BarryH
Most Stag Parts dealers used to do a conversion kit but I don't know if they still do.
SteveJP
My Stag came with the alternator already repositioned to the other side, in recent months I have had to renew the wiring to it - I obtained an alternator wiring harness extension from E J Ward, and a few weeks ago had to change the bracket as it had developed a stress crack, it could have been welded but opted for the Tony Hart bracket, available from him via Ebay. You will also need a different belt, it uses the same belt size as the Power Steering.A very worthwhile modification, makes changing the alternator on those dark nights so much easier ;DThis link is to Tony Harts Ebay page http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-Stag-alternator-repositioning-bracket-/350479897456?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item519a3ad370Steve
