Steve Cureton
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change the ignition lock barrel and if so how do I remove the existing barrel?
ferny
The ignition barrel or a ignition barrel from a car with a steering lock? For the first you undo the nut on the front. It's a chromed thingy with dimples. If you don't have a suitible tool try some pliers but wrap them in something to protect the chrome. When it's off it pulls out from behind the dash. Disconnect the wires and you're done. Not idea about steering locks.

heraldcoupe
The boot lock is often well corroded and is reluctant to move. Soak it in plus gas/diesel/whatever for a couple of days see if it helps. Silly question - is the broken key the right one for the lock?Cheers,Bill.
