Hello All

im having a right drama I need to replace the main and big end bearings on my 1147 Herald engine can’t find if they are standard or oversize… bearings for my mini engine were stamped STD / +10 etc etc but I’ve only got the VP numbers

VP4446 main

VP4445 big end

I’m wondering if these are std numbers so I can get the right ones

any ideas

Yes, I have some nos vandervell bearings, and they are stamped 0.10 so I am certain yours will he std size.

You will be very lucky to find vandervell bearings, so may have to settle for whatever is available.

On thrusts, I have always bought a pair of whatever was fitted, plus a pair of 5 thou bigger. That give options to get the clearance nice and small.
