The Coast 2 Coast 2024 Run Announcement

Club Triumph is pleased to announce the 2024 Coast 2 Coast Run.

The 2024 event will be overnight from Saturday 22nd to Sunday 23rd of June.  Entry will open on 14th April and  will be available through the Club Triumph Shop on the Website along with the associated merchandising.

Entry will be limited to 40 cars and a reserve list will be maintained if the numbers exceed this. The entry fee is £30 which covers entry into the event, route book (in electronic format), car stickers and a finisher’s souvenir. Food consumed at the restaurants is at the entrant’s expense (main courses will  be available for typically £10-£12). All other costs associated with the event including fuel, car preparation,  tolls, fines, car recovery and repairs, traveling to and from the event are at the entrant’s expense.

The C2C Run is designed to be an enjoyable overnight driving experience of about 450 miles, taking about 12 hours driving time. It is a different type of event to the RBRR and the 10CR, but takes the best features from both to seek out some of the best driving roads that can be found in the UK. It is primarily about enjoyable driving on interesting roads with minimal traffic.

Route planning is not difficult and only requires entrants to follow the SatNav routes that will be provided. Due to the nature of the roads used, driving and navigating require attention. Additionally, there is also a social element through activities and meals held before and after the event.

The main entrant must be a member of Club Triumph at the time of entry and during the event, but crew members need not be Club Triumph members. The crew must be a minimum of two persons legally entitled to drive the vehicle. The maximum crew number shall not exceed the number of seats the car is insured for. The event is open to any model of Standard or Triumph motor vehicle or special based upon a Standard or Triumph motor vehicle. The vehicle need not be owned by the main entrant.

The Route

The route of the event is to start at The Lynton & Barnstaple Railway, Woody Bay Station at Parracombe and to drive through Exmoor, North Somerset, Monmouthshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Warwickshire to a mandatory rest stop near Gaydon. After which the route continues to Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Rutland Water, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire for a well-earned breakfast at Flamborough Head. This is a distance of approximately 470 miles and is mapped below.

The route book will identify alternative shorter routes to the finish. These can be used by teams if they so choose.

Please note there is a toll of £1.50 to cross the River Humber at Hessel. See
