jdaley
what is the s/s tube I see being offered? Is it a water tube external to the engine
Steve AKA vitessesteve
Rather difficult to answer your question without some more details. Please can you provide a photo or link to the part you are talking about.. Are you referring to a part catalogue or advert or post you have seen?
Dannyb
Probably the replacement pipe to water pump under manifold. That's the only one I can think of. Danny
glang
Part of exhaust system?
jdaley
I see it can be called 'under manifold water pipe', seems to have a variety of variations.
glang
Ah yes that will be the pipe that returns coolant back to the pump from the heater and there are different versions depending on the exact engine (4 or 6 cylinders etc). The original is steel and can rust through especially if the antifreeze hasnt been kept within specification however leaks in this area can be deceptive because there are core plugs just behind the pipe which can also fail... jdaley
I see it can be called 'under manifold water pipe', and comes in different configurations for different engines, I have seen them rotted out so the SS variety is clever.
