Distributor fault/replacement

Recommended Posts

Well my strange rattly noise may be closer to being solved....
It was suggested this week that it was a distributor related problem so thats where I started asking questions.
I asked another forum user that I trust to give me honest advice and no bull.

Through a couple of questions we got to the bit where he asked if the rotor arm was touching the cap.....well it is.
This we are deducing means my dizzy is dizzier than it should be.

So I need a replacement.
I've seen them on ebay new and pretty cheap but are those ones any good?
Is there another options that in the long term is more cost effective?
This will be the second time I've replaced this part :-/
Quite like the idea of one already fitted with an electronic ignition unit o some description.....

Thanks
Alex
