2009poolesparky Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Me being a bit of an electrical geek spotted these on ebaya bit pricey but and would require a change to a newer style of fuse box, but then you would never need to carry spare fuses or potentially buy a new fuse again.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180799339400?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649Alex
thebrookster Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 They are not cheap, admittedly, however I personally would go for them, saves having to replace fuses (which I always manage to blow every time I work on the electrical system, I really must remember to disconnect the darn battery before starting work!!).A good site for car electrickery is this one, not the cheapest but normally reasonable quality. (Ohh, and I have linked this straight into the circuit breakers they do)http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/fuses/holders3.php#cbIn terms of fuseboxes, some people are happy with the original three fuses, however this can have issues (if one fuse blows you can lose all sorts of random stuff ;) ). A common replacement for these cars is a 6 way blade fuse box, allows you to separate some of the circuits, and I believe if you find the right box will even fit in the same hole!Cheers,Phil
Gt6s Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 I have a clatter of those out of MAN trucks. Used to work in a MAN dealership.I even use one on the charging circuit if my old Lister generator. Taken out of written off trucks.
esxefi Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 a'clatter'....is that the collective term for fuses then ;Di thought a'melt' or 'blow' would be better :B

rotoflex Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 I don't understand why the flexibility of the collective "mess" hasn't made the term used in that sense universally.
