Lord Sorbington
I got some Comma AQF for mine, says is suitable for BW transmissions but to be honest i think any ATF would do.Are you planning to do an oil change? I thought of doing this on my 2000 but was advised that it isn't necessary to change it provided the fluid is a nice translucent red colour. May do it anyway as I like changing the oil on things.....Do you think the autobox suits the Stag? I like my 2000 auto, just interested how it copes in a sportier car
AlanChatterton
Wanted it for a top-up. Just had brand new fluid in the brand new box!!The Auto box really suits the Stag. To be honest, I wanted a manual/od one, but the Auto was the right car at the right time at the right price. Now I have it, I am glad I didn't go for the manual, it is sooooooooooo relaxing and really suits the "grand-tourer" style of the Stag.Only problem is the high revs at speed. 65mph is 3000rpm, I may try a 3.45 diff to see if that helps. The ideal would be the ZF 4 speed auto conversion, but at £2k, I may give that a miss!!
